Two evening cheese course: Wednesday 24 May 18.30-21.30 and Thursday 25 May 18.30-21.30

We are delighted to bring cheese education to SE25, with Little Mouse being a fully accredited training partner of the Academy of Cheese.

For our Level One course, Gareth will talk you through everything you need to know to take your first step in truly understanding the wonderful world of cheese. In this small, intimate class, you’ll learn about how cheese is made, from milk production through to affiance. You’ll also learn about presenting and serving cheese, as well as how to create the perfect cheeseboard.

This course is perfect for people who love cheese and want to know more. It’s a fantastic first step towards a career in cheese, but – whether you’re a hobbyist or future cheesemonger – this is a fun, interactive evening, with cheese tasting and the odd glass of wine (or many!).

All refreshments are provided, including cheese. You will taste six different cheeses each night (twelve in total), whilst getting access to the Academy of Cheese Level One Learning Road and Cheese Library.

Once you’ve booked, we can grant you access to the Academy of Cheese Level One Learning Road.

Is the tasting dog friendly?

We always welcome well behaved dogs at Little Mouse but the tastings are compact with little room for animals so we would politely request that you leave your dog at home if at all possible. If you do need to bring a dog, please let us know at the time of booking so that we can ensure we can cater for any allergy sufferers.

I'm vegetarian, is the tasting okay for me?

If you require vegetarian rennet cheeses, please let us know at the time of booking. We can accomodate this, but just need to make sure all our pairings work for vegetarian-renneted cheeses. There is no meat in the tasting whatsoever

I don't drink alcohol, can I still come?

Absolutely! We will devise a pairing for you, but please do let us know at the time of booking so that we can make it as good as possible.

I'm pregnant, can I still come?

Absolutely! We will devise a pairing for you, but please do let us know at the time of booking so that we can make it as good as possible. This will involve us chatting to you about your specific requirements based on conversations with your GP.

I can't eat Cow's milk cheeses, can you accommodate that?

We certainly can! Please let us know at the time of booking.

Are your crackers gluten free?

They are not, but we can provide gluten free crackers if you let us know in advance. Please tell us at the time of booking

I can't make it, can I cancel?

Due to our limited space, we can't refund tickets when cancelled within 14 days of the event. Cancellations up to 7 days from the event can be exchanged for a future event credit. Cancellations within 7 days of the event (or no shows) are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another person. We will endeavour to sell your ticket (and will refund you if we manage to do so). Please give us as much notice as possible.

I didn't get a confirmation! Am I booked in?

Sadly this website isn't the best (hey, we're good at cheese, not websites - we're trying to fix it) but if the payment has been taken, you will be booked in. Please email shop@littlemousecheese.com if you want to set your mind at ease.
